Abstract

The objective of this research was to monitor and improve the System of Industrial Effluent Treatment in the fish canning company Inversiones Estrella de David S.A.C. according to Supreme Decree No. 010-2008-PRODUCE regarding compliance with the Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP); for which he focused on experimental research; the sample consisted of the maximum permissible limits of February 2015 to verify compliance with environmental regulations by Supreme Decree No. 010-2008-PRODUCE, and of which the degree of concentration of pollutants measured in parameters such as: Oils and fats, total suspended solids, biochemical oxygen demand, pH, flow and temperature. Next, the experimental phase; Industrial effluent analysis was performed through chemical laboratory tests determined that the first three parameters mentioned above were above the LMP, whereby it designs and implements the monitoring plan and improving the system for treating industrial effluents, which is monitoring the effluent characterization based on the type of production and through; laboratory tests, in situ tests and test score for doses of caustic soda chemical reagents and reducing the degree of concentration of pollutants in the three parameters that are surpassing the LMP is achieved. After having implemented the plan, after a week of industrial effluent analysis we are again performed through chemical laboratory tests throwing significant to the company, such as. The oils and fats parameter moved from a level of 360 mg / L to 37 mg / L (representing a reduction of 90%), the Total Suspended Solids parameter passed to a level of 1569.2 mg / L to 86.8 mg / L (representing a reduction of 94.5%), the parameter biochemical oxygen demand decreased from 2213.5 mg / L to 182.13 mg / L (representing a reduction of 92%), the pH level increased from 6.94 to 8.4 pH (transformed from an acid effluent to alkaline). Thus meeting the LMP established.
