Psychological, social and demographic factors and academic performance in university students

Abstract

In the present research one sought to establish with, social and demographic factors associated with the Academic Performance in students. For the development of this research there was selected a sample of 226 students of the Faculty. Then a psychological social and demographic survey was applied to the selected students, in order to be able to obtain the necessary information for the research. Which allowed to establish that there exists association of the factors: Cycle of Study, Age, N º of Brothers, Possession of housing, level of Autoesteem and Habits of Study with the Academic Performance of the students.
