Abstract

The present investigation, Psychometric properties of self-report Assertive behavior in adolescents in secondary school, had as its main objective, meet the psychometric properties of the Self-report Assertive behavior in adolescents in secondary education in State Educational Institutions District Marcabalito For the investigation were taken four colleges of the above-mentioned district with a population of 636 students from first to fifth of secondary, of which it was considered a sample of 309 students taking 172 men and 137 women of ages oscillating between 12 and 18 years of age, which was chosen through a stratified probability sampling. Obtaining construct validity for each subscale acceptable correlations with appropriate intensity, between 0.291 and 0.478 for selfassertiveness and 0.274 and 0.491 for the hetero-assertiveness, besides the correlation item subscale showed a highly significant correlation was determined 0.568, demonstrating that it has validity. The reliability for the sub area of self-assertiveness is 0.773 and 0.752 for the sub-area hetero assertiveness, indicating that the test is reliable. Also considered will perform specific scales because significant age differences were found.
