Hazard identification and risk assessmentin the production area to reduce accidents in the company Shekina Company S.A.C, Chimbote-2016

Objectives. Identify hazards and assess risks in the production area of the company.
Materials and methods. Descriptive study, application of experimental design, for which the hazards and risks of the area of production of the company of the neutralized area were evaluated.
Results.A situational diagnosis was made in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, where a score of 25% was considered within the "low" level of safety. The activities carried out in the production area of the company were described through a process analysis diagram. Hazards were identified and evaluated using the IPERC matrix in the production area, which indicates that the greatest presence of hazards and risks is in the neutralized area. The occupational health and safety program was designed and developed, with objectives, indicator, goals, approximate cost and responsible for carrying out the activities necessary to comply with them. On the other hand, the accident rate was evaluated for the years 2015,2016 and 2017.
Conclusion. The accident rate was predicted for the next year 2017 where the percentage that is expected to reduce is 15%.
