Abstract

This research work aimed to increase productivity in a labor-intensive fishing enterprise. The research was a pre-experimental design application. The combined forecast-technical design, aggregate plan, control and productivity were taken to develop production planning and control (PCP). Instruments such as the questionnaire, Ishikawa diagram and control sheets were used. It was found that the planning and control subsystem was inadequate because it did not take into account the exact amount of raw material entering the process, causing poor management of the number of personnel. The productivity before the start of the study was 6 boxes / person-day. The best strategy of aggregate planning was to work with minimum labor force and subcontracting with a total cost of S / 753,526.67 which generated savings of up to S / 292,393.33. The average productivity indicator of three months of implementation of the aggregate planning strategy was 8 boxes / person-day. It is concluded that with the implementation of the strategy "Minimum labor force with subcontracting" is achieved to increase the productivity of direct labor by 33.3%.
