Aversive conditioning and the use of the metronome for the nicotine desaddiction

Abstract

We studied the effect of a treatment technique based on aversive conditioning through the metronome of the cigarette addicted to nicotine from 18 to 50 years old, of both sexes belonging to Lima. The experimental design, with the study of quasi-experimental control group and one experimental with pre and post measurement. The procedure was developed for the application of the technique of using the metronome in 3 phases: preparation, conditioning and maintenance. The application of this technique reduced and eliminated the use of cigarettes, and after a year follow-up we obtained that 25 subjects eliminated their consumption, reaching 46% of efficiency.
