Self-efficacy for multiple intelligences and self-esteem in high school students in Adventist schools

Abstract

UIT the objective to determine the differences between the levels of self efficiency for multiple intelligence and levels of self esteem, a descriptive and comparative investigation was performed in the Adventists Schools of Trujillo City in 2004. The sample was represented by 507 adolescents, whose ages ranged from 11 to 16 years old. It was administrated The Self Efficiency C, Cupani M. and the Inventory for Self Esteem in original School Form of Coopersmith. For the comparative statistical analysis the Ji- Cuadrado test was put to use. It was found that highly significant differences existed between the levels of self efficiency for multiple Intellingence: Math logic, Linguistics, Space, musical, naturalistic, interpersonal and levels of self esteem. The existence of significant differences between the levels of sell efficiency for the multiple intelligence: Cinesthetic Corporal and levels of Self Esteem and finally there was found that no differences existed between the levels of self efficiency for Multiple Intelligence: Interpersonal, and the levels of Self Esteem.
