Psychometric proprieties of beck depression inventory for college students in Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the psychometric properties of Beck Depression Inventory for college students in Lima Metropolitana.. In regard to the psychometric properties of the BDI-IIA, its psychometric index have been studied almost exhaustively, showing great internal consistency (alpha Crombach). In the same way, construct validity was obteined by factor analysis technique and was found high satisfactory results. Finally we obtain adequate psychometric properties of the BDI-IIA. Our finding indicates that the instrument has validity and internal consistency and stability, doing the instrument very acceptable with new parametersfor college population from16 to 36 years of Lima city.
