Abstract

The present study is framed within the field of psychometrics, and its objective was to adapt and standardise a highly diagnostic psychological instrument for our environment, which will provide indicators about the social behaviour of adolescents and, from this, guide them to improve their social skills in order to achieve a good adaptation. The BAS-3 socialisation questionnaire, which is of practical use in diagnosing the social behaviour of adolescents, was standardised. The items of the BAS-3 allow a perfirl of social behaviour according to 5 dimensions: Consideration of others, Self-control in social relationships, Social withdrawal, Social anxiety/timidity and Leadership; in addition to the "Sincerity" scale. The scales that facilitate socialisation are Consideration of others, Self-control in social relationships and Leadership, while those that inhibit or disrupt socialisation are: Social Withdrawal and Social Anxiety/Shyness.
