Behavior-based safety a continuous improvement methodology applied to power lines maintenance work

The present investigation was carried out in a power line maintenance company with the objective of determining the effect of implementing a behavior-based security tool. For this purpose, a cross-sectional non-experimental design was used, explanatory scope expofacto cause effect; The data collection technique used was observation; with a descriptive – inferential analysis. Faced with the problem of determining the effect of implementing a safety tool on behavior in a power line maintenance company, we sought to change the safety behavior of the personnel through the Behavior-Based Safety methodology and it was determined that the safety index unsafe behaviors has decreased from 38% to 29%. It is concluded that implementing the behavior-based security tool has a positive effect that will allow continuous improvement in the company.
