Opportunities and challenges for the implementation of sustainable energy in the cities of Peru

Abstract

The objective of the study was to identify the opportunities and challenges for the implementation of sustainable energy in cities. It was developed through a qualitative analysis whose participants were experts on the subject, as well as public officials and citizens who know about sustainable energy, its importance and application, a descriptive, phenomenological study is established for the aspect of environmental care, within Of the most notable results after identifying the emerging categories as well as financing, types of energy such as wind, solar, thermal, it was also identified that there are government and private projects that seek to promote the use of these energies, such as the installation of solar panels in commercial products, participation of private companies. Finally, the importance of energy use education, access to financing, cost reduction and consumption is shown.
