Abstract

The lack of coverage of basic sanitation services is a major challenge throughout the world and Peru is characterized by low coverage and poor quality of service. The objectiveof the research was to elaborate the project, at the engineering level, that allows the creation of the drinking water supply and sewerage system to cover the basic needs using the current sanitation standard. It was defined as an applied technological research and with quasi-experimental design, data collection techniques were used as observation guides, document guidance and a total station, in which the processing, of the same, was done through a diagram of flows. As a result, for the potable water system, an open network design with a cistern and elevated tank system was used to distribute all the lots through household connections; and, for the sewage system, a sewage collection network through household connections, and a 200 mm emitter connected to an existing mailbox located on the Chiclayo -Pimentel highway. The proposed supply system has 562.05 m in distribution networks, a 100 mm diameter pipeline drive line, with a length of 15.80 m, 2 electric pumps, a rectangular cistern of 6.00 m long by 4.00m wide 2.00 m high with 0.20 m thick walls and 60 residential connections.
