Materia requirements plan and cost reduction in the production area, company Metals Manufacturing Calessi S.A.C. El Agustino 2015

Abstract

This research aimed to design a material requirements plan that relates to cost reduction in the production area of the pot Sanded Industrial No.50in the company Calessi Metal Manufacturing SAC, El Agustino 2015. The population and sample consisted of 15 people from the area of warehouse and production, data collection was variable with the technique of the survey questionnaire and as the instrument; I was collected information for purchasing data, sales forecast demand and production that allowed us to bring the plan material requirements and thus reduce costs in the production area of the company. Holt Winters method for forecasting demand was applied. The calculations were performed using the statistical software Minitab v.17 and WinQSB 2.0 for material requirements plan Results showed that the plan material requirements generates an impact of 30% reduction of production costs, in terms of the current situation, the demand forecast for the period January-June 2015 determines the amount of demand for industrial sanded pot No.50, master production plan allows to know the amount and exact date of arrival of materials to store and BOM details each material used in the production, concluding that implementation of the plan material requirements contributes to cost reduction in the production area at the company Metal Manufacturing SAC Calessi.
