Business intelligence applied to the sales management of an Agro-industrial company

The main goal of this article was to apply business intelligence into the sales management of an agroindustrial company. At the moment, there is competition among local businesses and since the customer profile makes better proposals and offers purchase options, it is important to leverage the decision-making process in the sales area through computer tools that specialize in focusing information dynamically and accurately. For the present project the research design was preexperimental, pre-test and post-test design of the same group. The total population was made up of 6 people, between managers and assistants, the instrument validation method was carried out by means of expert judgment. Likewise, the reliability was verified by means of Alpha of Cronbach and the parametric test made was T-Student for related samples. The results showed a significant difference between the means before and after implementation. It was concluded that applying business intelligence improves decision making based on presenting consolidated, summarized and updated information.
