Abstract

The present research developed a relational descriptive analisis among the motivational climate, assertiveness and academic performance. Such research was made with students from II and III term of Chimbote Cesar Vallejo University, the first semester of 2004, being the main goal to determine climate, assertiveness and the academic performance. The tools used were: A questionnaire about the class motivational climate by Irureta Nuñez Luisa; Assertiveness Behavior Report ADCA I of Garcia and Magaz. The present research is a descriptive design trying to determine the existing relation level among the three variables on the population concern, already specified. The group was made up of 201 Chimbote UCV students out of 270, achieving the task with tha whole population. The conclusions we got are: There is a significant relation between the academic performance and the indicators on the motivational climate variable; there is a significant relation between the assertiveness (heteroassertiveness and selfassertiveness) and the academic performance; there is no relation relation between the assertiveness (heteroassertiveness and selfassertiveness) and the motivational climate.
