Abstract

The aim of this investigation was to determine if there is greater emotional dependence on abused women than in women not violated the HUP "El Satélite" Nuevo Chimbote, for which a comparative descriptive design, no experimental transectional was followed. The sample included 132 women, aged 18 to 40 years abused and not abused. IDE, Jesus Joel Aiquipa Tello - Emotional Stock Unit was used. Nonparametric statistics were used Mann - Whitney, for comparison between the two groups, and the testing of the hypotheses. The results indicate that there are highly significant differences in emotional dependence on the abused women HUP "El Satélite" 82,2 % in the high and very high (p = 0.00 < 0.01) versus a 5,1% in the low and very low level of emotional dependency in women not abused. Finally, in terms of levels and dimensions of emotional dependence on battered women found that higher scores on the dimensions are afraid of breaking 86,3 %; preference of the couple 84,9 % and subordination and submission 80,9% at a high level and very high respectively.
