Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of the organization commitment and Burnout syndrome, and determine the relationship of the organizational commitment with the dimensions of emotional exhaustion, cynicism and professional efficacy. In addition, the type of investigation was substantive and non-experimental transactional, the descriptive - correlational design was used. The results allowed us to verify a null correlation between organizational commitment and the Burnout; and a correlation of small effect with the professional effectiveness dimension, that is, the commitment is not related to fatigue caused by work overload.
