Influence of the use of Lean Manufacturing on productivity: Carwash car wash company case, Chimbote – Perú

In the research, Lean Manufacturing was applied to improve the productivity of the carwash company María José, Chimbote, the methodology was applied, with a pre-experimental design. The sample consisted of 2 workers from the company; For the development, a process operations diagram, Ishikawa diagram, analytical course diagram, value flow map (VSM) and the 5S methodology were elaborated. The results of the application could be evidenced in the considerable decrease with respect to the process cycle time from 53 minutes to 48 minutes; In the percentage of productive activities from 48.72 to 58.97% and non-productive activities from 51.28 to 41.03%, with respect to productivity in the months of study, a labor productivity increase of 0.10% was obtained, efficiency increased by 0.08%, labor cost by 0.05% and multifactorial productivity by 0.04%, likewise , it was possible to reduce 3.03 liters of water per vehicle in the process. It was concluded that Lean Manufacturing tools improve productivity.
