In this research a study for the design of the distribution area maestranza was made to improve productivity in the process of producing parts in the line of presses repair of fishmeal within which include: media, strips , shafts, heald, bushings, flanges, etc. which manufactures and repairs EMIMSAC metalworking company located in Chimbote. The research type was applied and pre-experimental design, based on population productivities inprocess inventory in the area of petty, Repair line extruders in engineering and Mount SAC He also sought to propose a distribution manufacturing cells to increase productivity in process inventory of these pieces made and / or repaired in this area. Gathering information was made later to make situational analysis workshop in question (Taller de Maestranza), in which it was found that the area has distribution processes generating a series of waste that harms productivity, one of them delay in transport times and distances traveled, as well as the productivity of in-process inventory, which are initially measured 0.10 presses giving us finished on time for every thousand dollars invested in inventory process, after the implementation of cells Manufacturing (two cells) we obtained a productivity of 0.12 presses completed on time for every thousand dollars invested in inventory process, confirming an improvement in productivity in process inventory.
