Abstract

This research aims to apply the design to minimize the route take time reading water meters in Chimbote for the company SEDACHIMBOTE S.A. Route design was applied by WinQSB program, where a sequence of distances for which was identified with the platform in the plane of AutoCAD Chimbote locations each integrated meter. It was possible to detect a large delay in the distance traveled by the meter readers when moving according to their route for visitors on the premises. The total operating time obtained by monitoring the field amounted to 11021.5 seconds equivalent to 3.06 hours of which the majority is the route transfer to 8025 seconds equivalent to 2.23 hours for the AH San Juan de Chimbote where 65 meters were recorded, which to observe and analyze the movement that carried noticed repetitive movements made which entailed the excessive time taken, it was decided to develop a mathematical program for Salesman Problem traveler obeyed the objective of the required parameters concerning distances. The use of this program helped us determine the new sequence of points to be observed in order to optimize the time to have a maximum range of holdings, thus simulating the program was having a positive result a shorter distance to the usual with time 5186 seconds equivalent to 1.44 hours, thus reducing a 35.38% approximately equivalent time representing improving process
efficiency and therefore productivity.
