Abstract

The objective of the research wasto developan ergonomic study of the worker in the landing of metallic products to increase productivity in a Port Terminal.The variables were Ergonomic study and Productivity, theresearch was descriptive of pre-experimental design with a population of 251 workers. The programs used were IBM SPSS v21, Excel, XLSTAT, KINOVEA, ERGO/IBV.The monthly productivity was analyzed, resulting in an increase of 133,01 t to 148,60 t discharged per hour, representing an increase of 12%, the diagnosis revealed the percentage of ergonomic risks present in the activities of landing of the construction iron being 77%, that is to say in 10 of the 13 activities there are presence of different ergonomic risks, with the application of the Rapid Entire Body Assessment method –REBA, initial and posterior was achieved the improvementof the positions to which the dockworkers are immersed, the control programs were designed for the port worker, associated with the presence of each ergonomic risk, having as results 67%, 69%, 6%, 58% y 6% of compliance with controls.The development of the ergonomic study, allowed to obtain results that contributed to the improvement of the process and the improvement of working conditions, increasing productivity.
