The objective of the research was to apply inventory management to improve the supply of equipment in a security company in the city of Chimbote. The research design was of pre-experimental type. The population was conformed by 303 products and the sample for convenience by 5 collaborators, denominated owners of the problem. The tools used for the diagnosis were: Ishikawa diagram, Pareto rule, questionnaire, ABC classification. Historical data were modeled using Minitab software to determine the demand forecast. The WINQSB software made it possible to calculate the minimum stock level, reorder point and delivery time. The main results were the identification of the 3 products that generate the highest cost of the inventory: occurrence format, dome camera and overalls (according to ABC classification) and, through the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model, the cost per order and cost of storage with a saving of S /. 1 689.22; S /. 2 790.58 and S /. 569.44 respectively. It is concluded that with the adequate inventory management of equipment it is possible to improve the supply in a security company.
