Abstract

This research report is based on the comparative analysis of the alternatives existing virtual supply natural gas to the city of Chimbote as a starting point for future investments in the industrial sector.Technologies via virtual gas supply are: Compressed Natural Gas 200 or 250 bar pressure and 20 ° C and liquefied natural gas to -161 ° C and 1 bar pressure.The sample of the study consist of 12 companies producing fishmeal located in the industrialarea of 27th October with plant capacities between 120-5 Tons / hour. The study methodology is experimental, having performed measurements and statistical compilation of production and consumption by 2014.It ensures that the virtual alternative supply liquefied natural gas is more profitable at a price of 10.05 US $ / MMBTU, with a difference of 4.65 US $ / MMBTU compared to alternative compressed natural gas. Periods of ROI from 9 months to 1 year 2 months are obtained.
