Abstract

The objective of this research work was to determine a proposal to improve the level of management and acquire and implement ICT in the district municipalities of the Province of Santa based on the reference framework of COBIT version 4.1. whose characteristic has been oriented to research descriptive level, cross-sectional and non-experimental of a single cell. The main instrument was the application of a survey, which were taken in the proposed sample of the 9 selected municipalities; the same as the 90 workers that are directly related to the management of those who helped describe the level of maturity of each of them, obtaining the following results: The domain: Acquire and implant four of the seven processes is in a maturity level, 0: Non-existent and only three of the seven processes are at a maturity level 3: Defined, which evidences that district municipalities acquire and implement ICTs, without having a defined delivery plan and / or level of maturity necessary, which weakens the proper management of ICT in these government organizations.
