Trilce (1922), poems by the Peruvian writer Cesar Vallejo, was published during a period in which literary works characterized by avant-garde art were disseminated; that is, the irrational, the illogical, the incomprehensible and the innovative. The form predominates over the background or the content, since a metalanguage is established that identifies the author of this type of literary creation. Since then, literary criticism has investigated in terms of this book as a proposal, of which I have highlighted five modalities that comprise the totality of the thematic lines that address their research: syntax, new language, innovative character, influences and avant-garde. These principles are corroborated by way of comparison, differentiation and criticism. Finally, the objective of this article is to recognize the recidivist and expository postulates of this text in order to obtain a classification in this respect and to delimit the elaborated topics and those that remain to be done.
