Abstract

The so called cognitive processes are mostly a problem for the teacher, especially at pre-school level. ¿How to make sure that the sequence of the cognitive abilities is being fulfilled within the development of an individual by using their basic channels of VAK representation? This is a problem for a permanent discussion. The different topics and research papers during this information and processing era show a series of numerous topics linked to the cognitive processes and their interaction at the moment of interpreting the internal and external reality of the individual. This research paper accounts for the qualitative and reported studies carried out in five-year-old children aiming at relating their cognitive processes and their basic VAK representation channels from a directed and programmatic perspective of the pre-school teacher. It starts from the hypothesis that the development of their cognitive processes is essential for their verbal and non-verbal communication as a starting point of their cognitive skills. The analysis of the answers that the students gave as a routine in the application of several sessions was centered upon strengthening the cognitive processes. The degree of meaningfulness of the methodological strategies applied by the pre-school teacher were confirmed by the pre and post tests applied, which offered a 34.459 level as a result. Therefore, there are meaningful differences among the results of the pre and post tests within the development scale of the cognitive processes in five-year old boys and girls.
