Abstract

They were developed nectars, to measure their antioxidant effect in serum Rattus rattus, in the following proportions: Nectar "A" containing 100% of Prunus persica and 0% Aloe vera, the Nectar "B" contained 95% of Prunus persica and 5% Aloe vera, Nectar "C" containing 90% of Prunus persica and 10% Aloe vera, Nectar "D" contained 85% of Prunus persica and 15% Aloe vera, Nectar "E" contained 80% Prunus persica and 20% of Aloe vera and nectar "F" contained Prunus persica 75% and 25% Aloe vera per 100 mL of nectar respectively. Serum isolated, mixed with each nectar and evaluated their antioxidant capacity by the method of Ferric Reducing Potential (FRP). The results were subjected to analysis of variance. It was concluded that: all have antioxidant effect nectar, nectar with 15% of A. vera I present the highest antioxidant capacity of different concentration, the nectar contained only P. persica had lower antioxidant capacity also as the concentration was increased A.vera antioxidant capacity was increased to 15% concentration and reduced concentrations higher antioxidant capacity, the highest antioxidant capacity was reached after 20 minutes, when the volume of nectar was 15% 1 and 2 mL and 15 minutes when it was 0.5 mL.
