The purpose of this research was to study the influence that occurs on engine power when it uses an alternative fuel like LP gas instead of conventional gasoline. To achieve this, tests were performed on a 1000 cc Daewoo Tico Engine provided with a Spark Ignited Carburetor adapted for dual fuel supply system. Fuel supply and conversion systems for both types of fuel were studied, and the engine power was measured at driving wheels. To measure the differences, a chassis dynamometer FLA 203 was used, and the data obtained proved that an influence on engine power was due to the use of LP gas instead of conventional gasoline in this type of engine.
