Abstract

The descriptive correlational investigation had as an aim to study the relation between the impact of the treatment and psychological phases for which the cancer patient go through. It was used the Attitude towards the Disease Scale and the Functional Evaluation of Cancer Therapy Scale. The sample was composed by 60 cancer patients. Finding a direct correlation between impact of the treatment and all the psychological phases, the general physical state is directly correlated with negation, anger and depression, family and social environment has a direct correlation with acceptance, the emotional state is directly correlated with all psychological phases and the functioning ability has a relationship with anger and depression.
