Abstract

This study presents results of the verification internal structure of the items of the instrument Avaliação dos Tipos Profissionais de Holland (ATPH) The sample consisted of 462 high school students with aged from 14 to 27 years old, and the mean was 16 years old (SD = 1.34). The results revealed that the items together reproduced the six components of the theoretical model of Holland, suggesting the representation of interests among the types: Realistic (a= 0.95), Investigative (a= 0.93), Artistic (a=0.94), Social (a=96), Enterprising (a= 0.95) and Conventional (a= 0.96). The ATPH presented validity evidences and that there is relevance in the applicability of Holland's typology in adolescents and young Brazilians.
