Keywords:
Motivation for success, Clinical personality styles, University studentsAbstract
This study focuses on determining the relation between motivation for success and clinicalpersonality styles, using as methods the motivation scale and the multi-axis clinical inventory of Millon, respectively. A sample of 1,860 entry-level students was studied at the César Vallejo University in the academic semester 2007-I (April-July). The results show that, those with a schizoid or schizotype personality have negative correlation with motivation for success, while those with paranoid, histrionic, antisocial, narcissist, limited, compulsive, dependent or evasive personalities have positive correlation with motivation for success.
