Abstract

The poor performance of patients with craniocerebral injury (TBI) in neuropsychological tests, is more associated with their emotional state than TCE (Rodriguez, 2006). In this study, it was set out to identify and characterize anxiety and depression affected with TBI methods were defined and included in the sample 154 volunteer patients, 14-24 years old, incidentally admitted between July and December 2012 at the Central Hospital of Huambo, Angola. The statistical processing was performed with SPSS version 20, inventory of anxiety and depression of state and trait (STAI) Spanish version was used, high level of anxiety and depression was found and emotional states, relevantly associated toTCE.
