Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the parenting experiences and the resignifying of parenting styles from middle class contemporary mexican fathers and mothers, with school age children. From a socio cultural perspective and as a part of a qualitative methodology, we made depht interviews. The investigation findings allow to determine that these parents had had a dynamic and historical construction, modifying some beliefs, discourses, practices, cognitions and feelings about their family origin. The parental resignifications have attracted constant reflectionsthat situate each father with a posture, to build their own family and educate their children in a development moment.
