This research was intended to design a psychoeducative guide (PG) focused on satisfying the emotional needs of caregivers of children with cancer. An exploratory-descriptive study was developed. We selected 8 specialists and 30 caregivers of the Oncology/Hematology Service of the Academic Pediatric Hospital „José Luis Miranda‟ in Santa Clara, Cuba so they could value this PG. They were chosen from a nonprobabilistic incidental sampling. A semi-structured psychological interview, an observation session and a questionnaire were used. As a result, a psychoeducative guide was developed taking into account the need for emotional support and psychological care of the caregivers of children with cancer. Its relevance and effectiveness were valued.
