Evaluation and rehabilitation of the communicative capacity in a patient with Broca’s Aphasia

The evaluation and rehabilitation of the communication capacity of a 75-year-old patient with Broca’s aphasia was carried out in the city of Trujillo, Peru, who suffered a cerebrovascular accident. A neuropsychological evaluation was performed (qualitative clinical analysis and application of the Stroop test, INECO Frontal, Mini Mental, Montreal Cognitive Assessment, Neuropsi Battery, copy of a complex figure and Difference perception test). Then, a rehabilitation program was carried out between August and November 2017, with the aim of promoting the achievement of communicative behaviors so that the patient could perform her daily activities with autonomy. In conclusion, the communication capacity of the patient was improved slightly and, as a result, her autonomy.
