Abstract

This research addressed the dubbing's analysis of the songs from the movie "Tangled” with the purpose of identifying the guidelines that were used for the dubbing of songs from that film. These guidelines are: the meter, rhyme, rhythm and lyrics. For the analysis, there were included all the songs that are part of the soundtrack, excluding all the song that are repeated throughout the film. That left us with a total of 5 songs (in its Latin Spanish version). In order to do it, a content analysis form was used during the process, which aimed at analyzing all guidelines and their frequencies. Subsequently, the results were presented and organized in tables and then they were synthesized in graphs made in Excel. Finally, the results showed that the guideline meter was the most frequent among the movie's songs, concluding that meter plays a very important role when dubbing songs.
