Suicide risk associated with cyberbullying in students at the Mater Admirabilis José Leonardo Ortiz school

The general objective was to determine if there is an association between suicidal risk and cyberbullying in secondary school students of the Mater Admirabilis educational institution in the José Leonardo Ortiz district, a cross-sectional non- experimental design was used with multivariate correlation with prospective cohort, social technological research, with a population of 784 third, fourth and fifth secondary school students from said institution, the sample was at least 258 students, (n=319 was used) from those sections, single-stage cluster sampling, two surveys were applied, the first Cyberbullying instrument was applied construct validation (greater than 0,69) and the reliability was measured with the ordinal alpha with a value of 0,99785 (highly reliable), and the second instrument for suicide risk (Plutchik risk scale), its reliability was calculated with the KR- 20=0,787 (reliable), of the 319 students who were subjected to Cyberbullying, 58% were men and 42% were women, of the total, 61,8% do not have a suicidal risk and 32,8% do, a significant correlation between suicidal risk and Cyberbullying with p-value =0,000 (rejecting the null hypothesis of independence Table 3), in the multivariate analysis, the correlation between Cyberbullying and suicide risk (place of origin, urbanization) was significant with a p-value of 0,009 and 0,008 (place of origin, young town).
