Smiles program - school bullying in the levels of bullying in high school students, El Porvenir, 2015

This research entitled “Smiles Program – Anti-bullying in levels of bullying in high school students, El Porvenir, 2015” had as main objective to determine the effects of the Smiles program – Anti-bullying in levels of bullying in “José María Arguedas” high school students in El Porvenir. This study is experimental and its design is preexperimental, the study population consisted of 138 students, through non-probabilistic sampling by convenience a sample of 19 students was obtained, on which the Isenbull self-report was applied to assess levels of bullying in pretest and postest. According to the results of the pretest for the levels of bullying, 12.50% of students got the highest level, 25.00% in the average level, 50.00 % at the low level and 12.50 % at the very low level. After the postest, 15.50 % of students were at a high level, 18.79 % on average, 37.50% in low level and 31.25 % at very low level. The Wilcoxon nonparametric statistical procedure showed that the mean difference (post - pre) levels bullying is not significant, positive and the value of the statistic test is WCAL = 0,176 with the higher level of significance at 5 % ( p > 0.05) , thus accepting the null hypothesis. It is concluded that the Smiles program – Anti-bullying reduced non-significantly the levels of bullying in first-grade highschool students.
