Abstract
Social impacts leave marks of various types. One of the biggest impacts experienced by Peruvian society
in recent times has been the political violence that occurred between 1980 and 2000. This article aims to
articulate individual and community aspects, considering the current knowledge about how the
experiences settle in the bod, in its functioning, encoding genetically and thus predisposing ways of
feeling, thinking and doing, not only personal but also collective. Its effects transmitted to descendants
require psychosocial interventions that take into account the integrity of the human being and the
awareness of a biopsychosocial approach that scope to consider further trauma and its hidden validity,
but evidenciable through epidemiology.
