Human development depends, among other factors, not only on personal commitment, but also on organizational commitment, and in this sense, the latter is of practical and not only theoretical relevance. Responsibility in organizations is a quality that guides their conduct, on the basis of decisions that in their factual nature also have an impact on the collective, primarily in their scope, be it geographical or economic, just to mention a few. In the development of this article, the objective is to know the impact of social responsibility in each of its various connotations, such as social responsibility, social responsibility in the business sector or also called corporate, as well as university social responsibility and finally in the governmental. It is possible to verify that each of them results in a guiding framework for the actions of private and public organizations. For this reason, articles from different scientific journals of social sciences such as Scielo, Latindex, Sciencie Direct, Scopus and Redalyc have been reviewed.
