Author Guidelines

The journal does not charge any fees for processing or submitting articles.
All manuscripts submitted for publication in REGUNT must be original and unpublished, and must not have been submitted for publication simultaneously in other journals. All manuscripts will be reviewed using Turnitin software.

The author registering the submission must include all authors of the manuscript (Add collaborators, ORCID) along with basic contact information, affiliation and academic background of each, institutional email address, and the Scopus code (if applicable).

Text Structure

Review article (length between 4,000 and 7,500 words, not including abstract or references)
The results of documentary research are analyzed, systematized, and the main findings and research trends recorded in articles published in recognized indexed databases that address specific topics are highlighted. The article structure must adhere to the following sections:

● Title: in the original language of the article (Spanish, English, or Portuguese) with a maximum of 20 words.

● Abstract (each must be presented on a separate page, in a single paragraph, with a maximum length of 250 words). The objective of the study, analysis of the central theme, and conclusions must be specified.

● Keywords (between three and five).

● Introduction-Literature Review: The study's context, objectives, and main research background (in its various contexts) should be considered, highlighting a review of the most relevant literature on the topic.

● Method: Indicate whether a specific review protocol was followed. Information about the search criteria (e.g., review time window, keywords, limits used, search indicators, etc.) and study eligibility (e.g., years considered, language, publication status, type of study, population characteristics, etc.) should also be provided. The study selection and data collection process should also describe the methods for extracting data from publications (e.g., pilot forms, duplicate forms, independent forms), as well as any processes for obtaining and confirming data from readers.

● Results: The search results are presented in the flowchart proposed by the PRISMA declaration (or any other protocol). Additionally, a presentation of the main lines of research identified is expected, and the use of statistical and bibliometric indicators is recommended.

● Discussion and conclusions: Based on the research question and the stated objectives, the findings are presented in dialogue with observations from other relevant studies, highlighting contributions and limitations. Inferences and recommendations for future research should be included, as well as linking the conclusions to the study's objectives, avoiding statements and conclusions not fully supported by the research data.

● References (according to APA Standard, 7th ed.) [The consulted works should be cited in the text in parentheses (APA), with the author's last name and the year of publication in parentheses (Day, 1998). If there are two authors, cite both separated by "and," and if there are more than two, cite the last name of the first author followed by "et al.." If two or more documents have the same first author and year, they should be distinguished from each other with lowercase letters following the year (1998a, 1998b, 1998c, etc.). To indicate the location in the source (specific pages), a colon "":" will be used without any other abbreviation (Day, 1998: 28-33). The article must present a minimum of 50 references, with their respective DOI or URL (web link).

Scientific article (between 5,000 and 7,500 words, not including abstract or references). Articles may be written in Spanish.
It presents, in detail, original results from completed empirical research, which outline methodologically rigorous and conceptually sound procedures and generate novel contributions to the discipline.
The article's structure must adhere to the following sections:

● Title: in the original language of the article (Spanish, English, or Portuguese), with a maximum of 20 words.

● Abstract  (each should be presented on a separate page, in a single paragraph, with a maximum length of 250 words). The objective of the study, analysis of the central theme, and conclusions must be specified.

● Keywords (between three and five).

● Introduction: The information must clearly state the what and why of the research, including the statement of the problem, the objective, as well as the justification of the problem, the general context of the research, how and where it was conducted, the research variables and their definitions, as well as any limitations. The framework or literature review with bibliographies (preferably) from the last 7 years may be included.

● Method: Must include: the design was appropriate for the study objective; the population and sample used, as well as the type of sampling, must be clearly identified and described; data collection techniques or instruments; a strategy for analyzing the data, specifically addressing the research question and/or hypothesis testing, without comments or arguments; and ethical considerations associated with the study. Each of these considerations must be supported by arguments and the reasons given.

● Results: The presentation of the results must be supported by figures and/or tables that appear in a clear, concise, precise, and logical sequence. Tables are used when the data have exact results and decimals, with row and column headings. Additionally, special care must be taken to report the strategies implemented to ensure the validity, credibility, quality, and objectivity of the results obtained.

● Discussion and conclusions: The discussion should highlight the author's own and most important results and compare them with those of other similar published studies, based on the literature review. Based on the research question and objectives, the findings are compared with observations from other relevant studies. The conclusions should be clear in their response to the question that originated the study and to the stated objectives and limitations.

● References (according to APA-7 Standard): The article must have a minimum of 25 references, with at least 80% of these expected to correspond to works published in the last 7 years.

Theoretical article (length between 3,000 and 7,500 words, not including abstract or references)
Theoretical articles draw on existing research literature to generate theoretical advances. They present empirical information only when it supports the theoretical topic being analyzed, expanding and refining its constructs or presenting a new theory or analyzing an existing one.

● Title: In the original language of the article (Spanish, English, or Portuguese), maximum 20 words.

● Abstract (each should be presented on a separate sheet of paper, in a single paragraph, with a maximum length of 250 words). The objective of the study, analysis of the central theme, and conclusions should be specified.

● Keywords (between three and five).

● Introduction: The problematic reality is presented precisely and clearly, highlighting the need for a deeper theoretical analysis of the phenomenon under study. The findings to date regarding the variable under study, which have increased its theoretical foundations, should be presented. It is suggested that a timeline be followed in the theoretical construction of the variable, with bibliography (preferably) from the last 7 years.

● Method: Written in the past tense, it describes the procedure followed by the study (number of articles cited, types, characteristics of the units of analysis, type and design of research, and the ethical criteria used).

● Discussion: Written in prose, it analyzes the findings of the literature review according to the proposed objective; it summarizes and links the main findings. Subheadings can be used to organize the identified theoretical elements.

● Conclusions: The main conclusions reached as a synthesis of the research are described.

● References (according to APA-7 Standard): A minimum of 40 references, of which at least 80% are expected to correspond to works published in the last 7 years.

APA Style Guidelines
● In general terms, the manuscript should follow the guidelines outlined in the APA Publication Manual (7th edition, 2010).
● Quotation marks (“ ”) should only be used for direct quotation marks of fewer than 40 words.
● Long quotation marks (more than 40 words) should be in a separate paragraph, without quotation marks, with a larger margin (2 cm from the left margin) than that used in the text.
● Italics should be used for words in a language other than the original language of the article, for titles of books, media outlets, and television programs; for the introduction of a technical or key term; and for highlighting words or phrases cited as linguistic examples.
● Tables and figures should be laid out according to the guidelines in the APA Publication Manual (7th edition, 2010). Each table and figure must be mentioned in the manuscript text; they must be numbered consecutively according to the order in which they appear in the text.
