Abstract

The objective of the instrumental design research was to determine the validity and reliability of the Premeditated and Impulsive Aggression questionnaire in adolescents of the Province of Ascope, using a non-probabilistic sample of 226 participants of both sexes, between the ages of 14 to 17 years old. As for the results, for the analysis of the internal structure three models were studied: the original model, two specific factors (24 items); the single factor model (18 items); and the bifactor model of a general factor and two specific factors (18 items). Of which, the third reported better adjustment indexes (CFI = .92; TLI = .90; RMSEA = .056 [.042 - .069]; S-RMR = .055). And, the reliability was estimated by internal consistency method in the model that best fit reached, the specific factor premeditated aggressiveness obtained value of .47 and the specific factor impulsive aggressiveness .56, finally, the general factor (aggressiveness) reached value of. 81.
