Abstract

This present research aimed to establish the Psychometric Properties of assertion in the couple parents, this instrument was created by Carrasco (2005), its validation was performed on a sample of 401 parents of two educational institutions of primary level on “La Esperanza” district, the same as those obtained by an accidental non-probability sampling. Construct validity was determined by correlating test item obtaining higher rates corrected to .20, except item 34. The correlation between subscales was obtained for Form A, the items ranged from .302 to the case of assertion and aggression and passive aggression and submission .691. For Form B items ranged from .380 for the case of assertion and aggression for aggression and passive aggression case .649, showing that all correlations are highly significant. The internal consistency reliability by Cronbach's Alpha of the scale in sub form A: assertion .835, .776 aggression, submission, .719, .841 and passive aggression in form B: Assertion .831, .793 aggression, and submission. 736, 843 passive aggression, they are reliable. Finally the percentile norms for each sub -scale was developed and found significant sex differences in the sub form B. Assertion scale.
