Abstract

This present study was aimed to know the psychometric properties of the Antisocial Behavior Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents in state schools in the province of Huamachuco. This instrument, created by Gonzales (2012) was adapted from a sample of 467 students, who were selected according to a stratified (layered) probability sampling who were in the primary and secondary levels, and from 8 to 15 years old. It was determined by judging criteria, the linguistic adaptationof items 3 and 13 with a coefficient of .88 V in Aiken analysis. For construct validity, the item correlation test used was the statistical method of Spearman, achieving a maximum score of .542 in item 20 and a minimum score of 141 in item 8. The reliability was achieved by the method of internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha coefficient with a result of .697 which is minimally acceptable. Finally with the questionnaire percentile norms, significant differences by gender but not by age were developed; as an additional point, set breakpoints were placed at the following levels: a High level of 76-99 set; of 26-75 and 01-25 a Middle level, a low level is reached.
