The hydrocarbon injection is an important stage in the combustion, where the atomization process is involved, which consists in disintegrating in small drops, the fuel, by an injector to add a larger transfer area. The droplet size generated by the injector should be less than 80 μm so that a good combustion can be ensured and avoid contaminants such as CO and NOx. This research seeks to highlight the use of alternative low emission hydrocarbons, which have high viscosities that make it difficult to reach acorrect droplet diameter. This type of study needs to be approached, first, theoretically in order to understand the similarities that contain the same atomization process with different fuels. Therefore, a review of books and papers on the subject was carried out, from which the relationships between the different injectors were obtained with design parameters, state variables and air / fuel flow rates, which directly influence the quality of atomization.
