Model of inventory management to reduce the logistics costs of raw material in the company ARY Servicios Generales S. A. C.; 2017

Abstract

The present thesis sought to develop a model for the management of inventories to reduce logistics costs within the company ARY Services Generals S.A.C of Trujillo, through the implementation of the inventory model of periodic review because today what every company seeks to satisfy the customer, but taking care of their internal costs. The study was applied to the inventory of raw material made up of 40 materials to produce 10 products segment A. Performing a pre-experimental design studio working on a retrospective basis with the historical demand with the model proposed a reduction of the logistics costs of S/. 6,341.61 soles per year (2.39%). The results were statistically analyzed with the Wilcoxon test with a P value less than 0.05 to report the difference of the logistics costs a behavior not normal. With which it is concluded that the development of a model for inventory management as in this case the model of periodic review allowed to reduce logistics costs in a significant percentage, which is optimal for the study.
