Abstract

The present research carried out in the "San Martín" Dental Center, its general objective is to improve the care service of patients attending the San Martín de Trujillo Dental Clinic, it was proposed to use a computer system via the web, for the improvement of patient care . The research type is applied, pre-experimental. For reliability, a pre-test posttest with a confidence level of 95% was used. Using as data analysis methods Z for the corresponding time measurements. The Iconix methodology was used for the development of the dental computer system, since it was subjected to selection and proved to be the most acceptable for the achievement of the present investigation. Next, the conclusions are mentioned for each indicator obtained. In the first indicator satisfactory results were obtained since the average time in the reservation of appointments to the patients has been reduced in 235.72 seconds. That represents 79.35% of the total time, in the second indicator the average time in the record of patient care records decreases 139.34 seconds, which represents 66.54%. And finally with respect to the Average Time in the search of clinical history with the Current System is of 297.02 seconds, in comparison to the Proposed System that is 74.60 seconds, which determines a reduction of time of 222.42 seconds; which will allow a reduction of 74.88% in the search of medical records.
