Abstract

The research work has determined the connection between low bed 80 TN and a giant truck Caterpillar 777D for Minera Yanacocha SRL, said connection call Gooseneck has had a fifth wheel King Pin to connect a previously placed a table (bolted) to the 777D truck chassis and a jaw-like structure called piston-driven wheel that was responsible for the move of solidarity and gooseneck low bed truck. For the simulations, we used a software of finite element analysis (FEA). Has been made to verify that using the Method of Finite Element (FEM) incorporated in the analysis software Solidworks, structure gooseneck, Pin Horizontal Fifth Wheel and King Pin are properly designed for the work of the operation field.
