The present study aimed to determine the influence of the addition of recycled polymers in water absorption in concrete bricks for construction. Samples of the masonry units were developed considering the Standard E.070 RNE, which minimum understanding resistance is 130 kg/cm2; using for this dosage of conventional materials (cement, aggregates and water) ITINTEC regulated by the rules; likewise polymers (recycled plastic and ground) in percentages of 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 of the weight of solid brick was added. The uptake essays were conducted according to the standards indicated in 399,604 and 399.I613 NTP. The results of the absorption rate for the bricks in which polymer was added 5% showed a mean of 2.74%, to which were added 7.5% of polymers their average is 4.03%, for which they will be added 10% of polymer average is 4.62%, also to which they are added 12.5% polymer resulted on average 4.96% and nally to which was added 15% of polymer, the average was 5.58%.
