Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Scale of Occupational Wear (EDO) in secondary teachers of state schools Trujillo District. The sample consisted of 328 teachers selected through a stratified sampling, with 41 % male and 59 % female, with a service time between three to 38 years. In light of the results, the EDO is a valid and reliable instrument in teaching men and women, as was found through item -test correlation, which possesses construct validity, since it presents coefficients ranging from .212 to .657 in males and 213-596 in females; also using the Cronbach alpha coefficient was determined that both men (.924) and women (.927), has a high internal consistency reliability. Finally, we developed scales with T scores by gender in the overall scale of the EDO and in some of its factors, because these are no significant differences in male and female teachers.
